WHO WE ARE

For 20 years musicaRivafestival has been representing the most important event which takes place in Riva del Garda (TN).

Under the artistic direction of the famous soprano Mrs. Mietta Sighele, musicaRivafestival and the International Competition for Young Opera Singers “Riccardo Zandonai” have become two extremely prestigious happenings, which gather in Riva hundreds of youth, coming from all over the world, every year.
Mrs. Mietta Sighele has always given new inputs and fame to musicaRivafestival, thanks to her precious and unlimited proposal skill, her operative enthusiasm and her celebrated professional experience, obtained by singing in the most important lyric theatres all over the world.

During the last editions, a new masterclass in orchestral conducting has been introduced. It enabled to see in Riva very promising youth orchestras, conducted by renowned directors, such as: Master Yuri Ahronovitch and Master Isaac Karabtchevsky. However, the Musica Riva Association promotes not only the summer festival, but also other kinds of attractive events, which differ from the classic music panorama. As a result, during the last years, the Artistic Director chose some of the most well-known music shows, such as those performed by the Group of Red Army, Glenn Miller Orchestra, Gloria Gaynor and Village People.
